This chapter covers the process to upgrade a GlassFish FlexDeploy installation. For the purpose of this upgrade document, GLASSFISH_HOME is the directory: {$INSTALL_LOCATION/GlassFish3/glashfish}
Upgrade procedure for GlassFish
- Identify the location of the artifact repository (Glassfish)
- Stop the GlassFish FlexDeploy application
- Backup Oracle schemas (Glassfish)
- Backup the artifact repository (Glassfish)
- Upgrade database schemas (Glassfish)
- Restart the GlassFish server
- Uninstall Old EAR (Glassfish)
- Deploy New EAR (Glassfish)
- Start the application (Glassfish)
- Launch the application (Glassfish)
- Install plugins (Glassfish Upgrade)
