Deploy Permissions

Deploy Permissions allow you to configure specific environments where groups have permission to deploy to without using a release.

You can get to the permissions screen by using the menu and selecting Security → Permissions. Then click Deployment Permissions on the left.

By default, admin groups are hidden on the screen. Admin groups can always deploy to all environments, so you don’t need to add them to any environments.

You can add groups to and environment on the screen to grant access to run deploy and utility workflows in those environments.

Deployments that occur through a release are not executed as that user, and do not require this permission. When deploying directly from the project screen, the available environments are filtered, showing only the environments that are selected on this page.
