Loads data from external files into tables of an Oracle database. It has a powerful data parsing engine that puts little limitation on the format of the data in the datafile. The project object will be passed in as the control file.

Object Type Identification

  • Files with extensions .dat, .ctl, .ldr are included regardless of location

SQL*Loader is the utility to use for high performance data loads. The data can be loaded from any text file and inserted into the database.
