Comments can be added to a release and to individual step and gate executions on snapshots. Comments can be added and viewed for a release from the Comments tab. Filtering by snapshot is available to view only the comments made on step and gate executions for that snapshot. Use Show Execution Comments option to see execution related comments, you can also further filter these comments by specific Snapshot.
Comment Considerations
Adding @username to a comment will automatically email that user with the comment details.
Attachments, such as images and documents, can be uploaded and used within comments.
Adding Comments
Comments can be added in multiple locations of the release automation process. Comments can be directly added to a release from the Comments tab.
Another location comments can be added is on Snapshot executions. Comments can be added to Gates and Steps during, before, and after execution in a Snapshot.
Instructions, similar to comments, can be added to Step and Gate definitions on a pipeline. These will not appear in the Comments tab on a release. To learn more, read Creating and Editing a Pipeline Stage.
