stopApplication_

Signals an existing application to make itself unavailable, but leave it deployed. Any request that comes in while an application is stopped will see an HTTP error 404.

Artifacts

This operation doesn't consume or produce any artifacts.

Endpoint Selection

This operation will select all available endpoints associated to the environment/instance.

Endpoint Execution

This operation will randomly execute on one of the endpoints identified during selection.

Special Considerations

This plugin has the following pre-requisites:

  • The JAVA_HOME environment variable must be set to a supported JDK for the version of Tomcat being used.
  • The Tomcat user specified by property FDTOM_USERNAME must be granted the manager-script role.
  • The target Tomcat server must be running prior to calling this operation.
  • An application with the given FDTOM_CONTEXT_ROOT must be deployed.


The stopApplication operation will be ignored if the application is already in the stopped status.
