Out-of-the-Box Issue Tracking System Configuration

Each out-of-the-box Issue Tracking System requires configurations to work within your installation. These guides will assist you in finding the values you need and setting up a successful Issue Tracking System Integration.

At high level, you will

1. configure issue tracking instance on Integrations page,

2. configure your project or folders for using one or more such issue tracking instance (note that configuration are inherited in folder hierarchy and can be overridden as desired.

   1. Additional configuration to update comment and/or status can also be done.

3. commit code with proper work item numbers. best option for commit message is to prefix work item number with #, as that would work for all integrations. For example, #234 or #GLORY-1221 (where GLORY is Jira project name).

   1. If you provide invalid work item in commit message, then that particular work item will be ignored and will not be linked to build.
