FlexDeploy requires an authenticated login by a defined user within its repository. When FlexDeploy is installed, administrator would have created default administration user and password. Administrators can further create more users or integrate with enterprise directory servers for user access. If LDAP or Active Directory realms are configured or Single Sign-on is setup, then users can login with credentials stored in external directory servers, but user record is still created for such users, and those users are marked with Local User as N (false).

Searching Users

Select Administration -> Security -> Users from the menu.

...

By default, all active users are displayed in the search results and sorted by Updated On descending order. Use the column headings to sort the data and use the filter icons to filter it.

Click on a User Name to edit that user.

Info

If 5 failed login attempts are made then user will be locked, which can be seen in Locked column. Administrators can unlock locked users.

Creating/Editing Users

Select Administration -> Security -> Users from the menu.

...

1 Email is a required field. Any configured notifications sent to this user rely on the email address being set.
2 To enter a password, click the Update Password button, and enter and confirm the password. The password is only updatable for users created in the Local realm. If the user is created from an external LDAP or Active Directory realm the password is managed within the external LDAP or Active Directory. If updating your own password, then you must provide your current password. If administrator is updating password for another user, then administrator’s own password must be entered in Your Password input.
